What does "competitor exclusivity" mean?

Do I have to start with a diagnostic?

We strongly recommend it. The diagnostic establishes a baseline, identifies quick wins, and ensures we're both confident in the partnership before committing to a retainer. Your diagnostic fee credits toward month one, so there's no financial downside.

What if I need to change tiers or cancel?

Tier changes take effect at the next billing cycle. Downgrades and cancellations require 60 days' written notice. We believe in earning your business every month — the notice period simply ensures a clean handoff of any in-progress work.

Can you work with my existing IT team or MSP?

Absolutely. Most clients have an existing IT provider or internal team. Your fractional CTO operates at the strategic level — setting direction, evaluating vendors, and making architecture decisions — while your existing team handles day-to-day operations.
